Gilly was born September 4, 1969 to Daryl and Kathy (Faris) Gilmore in Eldora, IA. He graduated from BCLUW High School in 1988. Gilly farmed his entire life in the rural Marshall county area. When he wasn't farming Gilly could be found in the Northwoods of Wisconsin where he found the most happiness. In his early years Gilly and his brothers loved their fishing trips with their grandparents. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and riding his Harley or Polaris side by side. Gilly participated in the Wednesday afternoon Pool League in the Cable, WI area for many years. He was proud of his shop and bar he built on his property in Wisconsin and loved shooting pool with friends there. Gilly was an awesome cook and smoked many exotic meats including alligator and turduken.
Gilly will be missed by his parents, Daryl and Kathy Gilmore of Marshalltown, two brothers; Brant (Lori) Gilmore of New Providence, IA, Brock (Laura) Gilmore of Marshalltown, five nieces and nephews; Taylor (Keith) White, Bo Eggers, Chase Eggers, Stevi Eggers, Cole Gilmore, two great nieces; Scarlett White, Willow White, his beloved dog, Gus, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
