Brett Eugene Monroe

Brett Eugene Monroe, 67, of Hubert, passed away on March 19th, 2026, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville with military honors.

Brett was a man who found joy in life's simple, meaningful moments. From casting a line into quiet waters, spending hours under the hood of a car, and sharing laughter over coffee at the local diner with his closest friends. A proud disabled veteran, he honorably served his country in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army, carrying that same strength and resilience into every chapter of his life. Known for his steady presence, warm spirit, and deep appreciation for camaraderie, he leaves behind memories of loyalty, humor, and a life well lived among those who knew and loved him.

Brett was preceded in death by his father, Harold Monroe. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Emma Monroe of Hubert; his daughter, Rosemarie Rivera; three grandchildren, Tristen, Mia & Heavyn; mother, Shirley Monroe from Austintown OH; and his sister and brother-in-law, Wendy & David Leonhart.
