Brian Cooper Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - Guisinger Chapel on Jul. 28, 2025.
Brian Keith Cooper Jr. or Bubby as many called him, aged 20, passed away on July 25, 2025, in Cassopolis, MI. Born on March 17, 2005, in Niles, MI, to Brian Cooper and Mayra Palafox (Jordan).

Growing up in a blended family, Bubby was a beloved brother to Ronaldo, Ariana, Isabella and Faulnesa. He was predeceased by his cherished sister, Mia Cooper and his aunt Blanca Ayala. The family bond was further enriched by the love and guidance of his stepdad Justin Jordan, and his grandparents, Isidro and Olivia Palafox, Sallyann and Ronald Cooper, and Jean Carter, along with his great grandmother, Priscilla Grant. Bubby was preceded in death by family members Tom Jordan, John Carter, Maria Torres and Gilberto Ayala. He was a nephew to many aunts, uncles, and great aunts and uncles. Bubby was a cousin to many on all sides of the family that shared their love for him as well. He was also an uncle himself.
Bubby attended Cassopolis High School. Upon completing his education, he embarked on a career in the service industry, where he quickly rose to the position of manager at McDonald's. His work ethic, leadership skills, and unwavering commitment to customer service were noticed by all.

He was a very happy person, always joking and putting a smile on people's faces wherever he went. Being a jokester wasn't uncommon for him, making people laugh no matter what the situation. Aside from work, he had many interests, some of them including bowling and drawing. He was creative and used his art skills to draw some of his own tattoos. He was an avid animal lover. Just all around he was a kindhearted and loving person.

He enjoyed paintball, it gave him an opportunity to make memories with friends and family. One special moment was when Bubby was with his stepdad and younger brother Ronaldo at the paintball field and someone was messing with Ronaldo. So being the big brother that he is, Bubby, against paintball rules went and got justice for his younger brother with some paintballs. A fun and happy memory that his family will remember forever. Just another testament to Bubby's character.
As we bid farewell to Bubby, we celebrate the time we were blessed to have him in our lives. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a great-grandson, and a friend whose memory will forever be etched in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

There will be a visitation for Bubby on Saturday, August 9th from 11-12 pm. A service following that 12 pm at Word of Life Family Worship Center located at 408 Harding St. Cassopolis, MI 49031. A lunch will be held after the service. Online condolences for Brian and his family can be left by visiting www.palmerfuneralhomes.com
