Dr. Brian G. Cushing, DDS (August 11, 1939-March 4, 2026) died peacefully at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. He was a graduate of Canisius University, as well as the University at Buffalo School of Dentistry. He completed his residency at the Meyer Memorial Hospital (now the Erie County Medical Center) and was in private dental practice in Williamsville for nearly 50 years. He was a member of the Eighth District of the Erie County Dental Society and the Knights of Columbus. He was a parishioner at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Parish in Williamsville for over 50 years.
He along with his wife Magdalene (d. 2020) were active in the St. Greg's Pro Life Committee as well as the University at Buffalo Students for Life organization. He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends in 2017.
Brian enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and travelling frequently with his family to New York City for annual dental conventions, as well as to London, Prague, Paris, Rome, Milan, Venice, and Florence in Europe.
He is survived by his son, Andrew (Carol "Lala" Calingasan) Cushing, his sisters Nancy (Ronald) Zack and Beverly (Robert) Lannon, and his sister-in-law Barbara Wilbur.
Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Northowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Sunday, March 8 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 9 at St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 Saint Gregory Ct, Williamsville at 10:30am (please assemble at church.) Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
