Brian John Dudley

Brian John Dudley, age 60, of New Windsor, MD passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. The beloved husband of Margaret Karen Dudley (nee Kirk) for 37 years. He was born May 24, 1964, in Baltimore, MD, the son of Daniel Worthington Dudley of Baltimore and the late Eleanor Gertrude Dudley (nee O'Neill). Brian loved traveling with his wife Karen and daughters Kaitlyn and Allison. He particularly appreciated visiting national parks and staying in his RV. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was able to take many local and several extended rides. Brian coached lacrosse, field hockey and soccer, at one time earning Volunteer of the year award from Carroll County Recreation and Parks. Brian was an elevator constructor with I.U.E.C. Local 7, retiring August 1, 2024 with 40 years of service and receiving an Honorary Gold Card. Surviving in addition to his wife and father are his daughters Kaitlyn Dudley and Allison Leigh & husband Ryan. The brother of James Dudley and William Dudley & wife Lori. Also survived by his mother-in-law Joyce Kirk, brother-in-law Butch Kirk and wife Michele and James Kirk & fiancé Monique Klapka; nephews Andrew Kirk & fiancé Kara Van Fleet and John Kirk and wife Sabrina. We would like to remember Brian's especially, devoted friends-Nick Schwarz, Brian Pfaff, Glenn Kromeke, Scott Lehet, Kevin Bohn, Karen & Alan Bowman, Kaylen Swartzbaugh & Ray Kirby. Brian's brother-in-law Butch, was, as Brian said, "a Godsend." Brian is remembered by many nieces, nephews, family members, friends, co-workers, and players. Preceded in death by his brother Daniel Dudley and father-in-law Otis Kirk. The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School) on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster, MD 21157.
