Brian W Evans Sr.

Brian W. Evans, Sr., 68, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, Donna Jean (Paules) Evans, who passed away just weeks earlier. Born in York on March 22, 1957, Brian was the son of Donald W. Evans, Sr. of Manchester and the late June R. (Grimm) Evans. In addition to his wife and mother, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Melanie Sue (Evans) Senft.

Brian is survived by his loving children: his son, Brian W. Evans, Jr.; his daughters, Tracee R. Wallander and her husband Walter, Crystal D. Cruz and her husband Victor, and Megan R. Knisely and her husband Derek. He was a proud grandfather to Brian W. Evans III, Ashlyn Evans, Allison Wallander, Mason Wallander, Dylan Cruz, and Megan Simpson and her husband Brandon. He was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Bella Ann Simpson.

In addition, Brian is survived by his brothers, Dennes Evans, George Evans and his wife Robin, and Donald W. Evans, Jr. and his wife Bobbi, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Brian was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a special and proud grandfather who cherished time with his family and friends. He was also an active member of VFW Post 556, where he and Donna shared many years of friendships and memories.

A memorial gathering will be held in the spring for family and friends.
