I just found out. I am heart broken. I always thought that I would meet up with Brian again. I was his student. He taught me everything I know and playing my guitar. We perform together on the Fourth of July at Jordan Park in 1976. I loved and respected him very much. I learned my favorite song that he´d written "forever friends" my sincere condolences to his family. Sincerely, Rosie Hayford.

I got to meet Brian just this year, since I sang where he was staying several times. I felt a connection, as I got a minor in Math from the U of U and spent a lot of my time performing songs. He gave me one of his DVDs which I got to watch, and was impressed.

I attended a small class where Brian was teaching about storytelling years ago. I was just getting started in the craft and he told a story, ("Lady in White" is what I call it), that I loved. As I was looking for material I asked him where he had gotten it and he said, "It's just a Western legend." I said, "Then it's mine too." I have told my own version of that story numerous times and have been so grateful that he introduced it to me and seemed happy to let me tell it. Laurie Allen

We are so sorry to hear of Brian's passing. We have enjoyed having him in our branch and never tire of his sweet testimony. He was inspiring, and was a light in our lives.
