Brian Wesley Fox

 

Brian Wesley Fox, age 19, was born in Sylva NC on November 16, 2004.  He passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2024, at Mission Hospital. He was the son of Tabitha Massey (Clifford Massey) of Cullowhee NC. He lived with his grandparents, Bonita Fox and Eddie Fox of Sylva NC for most of his 19 years, so he referred to Bonita and Tabitha both as mom, and Eddie and Cliff as dad.

Brian is survived by his only sibling, his brother, Ryan Hunter Fox. Also surviving are his aunt,  Stephanie Fox Harris; cousins, Samantha Mitchell,  (and her spouse, Aaron Mitchell and son, Alexander Mitchell0; his cousin, Ashley Nicole Harris, (and her daughter, Madilynn Williams).

He was preceded in death by both parents of Eddie and Bonita Fox.  Brian was very close to his nanny, Wilda Dean Buchanan.

Brian loved his family.  He had a strong bond with his brother Ryan.  He loved going fishing, hunting or just hanging with his buddies around a fire pit.  Brian had a very giving heart.  He would work hard to help those he loved, especially his family and
neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Appalachian Funeral Services.  A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, January, 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services, with the Pastor Shane Roughton, officiating.  Carroll Blanton of the former Carolina Crossman will be singing.

Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Sylva NC.

Pallbearers will be Raven C Cabe, Cannon Cabe, Jared Buchanan, Brett Dodd, Jimmy Dodd, and Dean Buchanan. Kane Phillips will be the back up pallbearer.
