Brian Nelson Guilmett of Union, SC passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the age of 57. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on June 26, 1968 to Ronald Joseph Guilmett and the late Mattie Dianne McClain.
He graduated from Spartanburg High School and played football growing up. Brian maintained his love of sports throughout his life, especially enjoying the Atlanta Braves, South Carolina Gamecocks, and NASCAR. He worked for many years as a machinist with Santuc Precision.
Brian was a loving gentleman and member of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church. He placed his family above all else and found special happiness in time spent with his daughter and grandchildren.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Halie Marie Avendano (Alexander); grandchildren, Kaylee Chin-Loy and Gabriel Avendano; sister, Susan Smith (David); niece and nephew, Hannah and Cody Williams; stepsiblings, Kevin Bryant (April) and Kerrie Willis (Jamie); father, Ronald Joseph Guilmett (Karen); and step-father, Lonnie Reynolds.
Memorial Services will be held at Thompson Chapel Baptist Church, Sunday, December 28th, 2025 at 2:00PM.
