Omaha;
Brian Paul Hardiman was born on March 18, 1966, in Chicago, to Adrian (Smoot) Hardiman and David Estes. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Juel Smoot.
Brian was baptized Catholic as an infant. He attended Robert Emmett Elementary School and graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School in 1984. That same year, he relocated to Omaha, where he built a life rooted in family, music, and community.
From a very early age, Brian developed a deep passion for music. A self-taught guitarist, he dedicated countless hours to mastering his craft. Music was not just a hobby—it was part of who he was. Over the years, he became a pillar in the music communities of both Chicago and Omaha, sharing his gift and inspiring many through his talent and dedication.
Brian married Tanya Hoagland, and together they built a loving family. He was the proud father of four children: Adrian, Sylvia, Xavier, and Makai, and the cherished grandfather of three grandchildren. Family meant everything to Brian. He was very family-oriented and treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Adrian H. Smoot; his sister, Beverly (Smoot) Higgins; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many, many friends near and far.
Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His music, his laughter, and his unwavering love for family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
