Brian Hau Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Brian Hau. Brian faced a short battle with a very aggressive cancer. He passed at his home on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in a room he recently constructed himself. One that allowed him a beautiful view of their property and surrounding wildlife.
Brian was a man of many talents, a brain that could engineer just about anything, a love of racing and most importantly, his family and friends. While Brian will be deeply missed. We are comforted by the fact that he is at home in heaven and no longer suffering.
Brian Hau, 60, of Van Dyne, the son of Frederick and Joan (Meisenberg) Hau. On May 20, 1989, he married the love of his life, Janice Schinske, at St. Joseph’s Church in Fond du Lac. Brian worked at Ruan Trucking before his passing.
Brian had a love of many things in his life, wrenching on cars, planting food plots with his tractor, cooking and smoking meats, baking homemade bread from his mother-in-law's recipe, and sharing his knowledge with anyone willing to listen. Nothing came into comparison to the love he had for his beautiful wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be deeply cherished and missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Hau; three sons, Joshua (Sandra) Jorgensen, Justin (fiancée, Mekenzie) Hau, and Brice (Dakota) Hau; seven grandchildren, Audrina, Liliana, Brentley, Tommy, Levi, Madalyn, and Zoey; mother, Joan Hau; two siblings, Deann (Jack) Balog and Eric (Stephanie) Hau; four siblings-in-law, Ivonne (Fran Rieder) Hau, Mike (Ashley) Schinske, Chuck (Wendy) Schinske, and Kathy Schinske; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick; sister, Julie Sternitzky; brother, Kevin Hau; maternal and paternal grandparents; and mother and father-in-law, Jack and Billie.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
