Brian Jenkins is deeply loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Everyone who knew him always had a place in his heart and at his table. He passed away at home Monday morning, from the arms of his family on earth to his family in heaven.
Brian was born May 1, 1965 to Charles and Sharon Jenkins and was the oldest of 6 children. In his teenage years Brian was very kind and made everyone around him feel welcome and included. Brian served a mission in Osaka, Japan for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and later graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University. He was sealed to the love of his life in the Provo, Utah temple on December 18th, 1986. Together they gave life to 16 beautiful children. Kari and the kids gave him a life more adventurous and joyful than he could have ever imagined and blessed him with 24 grandchildren born during his lifetime.
Brian lived a life full of happiness, fulfillment, and joy, and it was no secret that he loved God. He was an active member in his community and church where he served in many capacities and made a difference for good in many people's lives. He often said, "many hands make light work." He taught and exemplified the value of hard work and being a helping hand to those around us. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, friend, and witness of Christ. With each new day, rain or shine, we will be reminded of him declaring, with a big smile on his face, "It's going to be a golden day!"
Brian was preceded in death by children Joseph, Abigail, and John, and is survived by his wife Kari, his parents Charles and Sharon Jenkins, his siblings Paul, Pamela (Cummings), Melanie (Baird), Jason, and Justin, his children Benjamin (Zaude), Sara Smith (Taylor), Daniel (Audrey), David (Katarina), Rebecca Francom (Justin), Rachel Zeigler (Joseph), Peter (Abigail), Jacob (Lilliah), Hanna Washburn (Indy), Jessica, Timothy, Erika, and Elizabeth, and 25 beautiful grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29th, 2024 @11:00 a.m, to celebrate his exemplary and inspiring life. A viewing will be held the night before Thursday, March 28th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the LDS Roy Stake Center, 2175 W 4250 S Roy, Utah 84067.
Funeral services are being provided by Leavitt's Mortuary and Aultorest Memorial Park and we thank them for their assistance.
Memorial contributions to the family will be gratefully received and can be sent to Ben.
