Words cannot express the loss that we all feel at this time. Brian's jokes and funny times made our working family so much more enjoyable. He will be deeply missed by me and the Gemini family. My heart and prayers go out to Brian's family and friends. God will heal our hearts.

I too had the great honor of working alongside Brian for many years. While I cannot even imagine how difficult this time is for your entire family and circle of friends, I hope you can take a little solace in knowing that Brian did an outstanding job here with his team and definitely played a key role in saving lives as a result of his efforts. But he was also so much more: he was an even better human being, teammate, friend and loving father. Godspeed Brian, you will be missed, until we all meet again.

John and I are deeply saddened by the loss of our coworker and friend. I have known Brian for about 15 years. We have worked on a few projects together but even when we were not assigned to the same project, we spent many years on the same team. It's not the work tasks that made great memories, though. It was Brian's caring, friendly and fun-loving nature that drew people to him. He loved to give us all a laugh.

One of my first memories of Brian was from when I first started working at Autoliv; I can't remember why, but we had these squishy stress-reliever toys that were shaped like animals but the inside was filled with colored liquid. Brian was determined to find out just how much stress they could take before popping. He took one back to his desk and a few minutes later, came around the corner with an accomplished grin on his face. He had found his answer but had not accounted for a way to contain the purple liquid that squirted out after he managed to break the cover. It ended up all over his crisp, white dress shirt and cracked us all up, including himself.

One way Brian loved to make people smile was through his very creative clipart pictures. Nobody was immune to Brian's clipart masterpieces. If Brian ever said to you Hey, I need a picture of your face, you knew you were next on his list. I think the day he discovered the intranet location of every employee's badge pictures had to be one of his busiest! We have a Christmas tree for our little Side Airbag area and the majority of our ornaments are Brian's clipart, or imitations inspired by his style. Brian always got a kick out of reminiscing about old friends around that tree every year.

Brian had a knack for breaking tension and lightening the mood which is a wonderful skill in our industry. Beyond the jokes, though, Brian had a great heart too. When I first started working with him all those years ago, I remember him talking about Macy and Maggie just about every day. He talked about them both so much I couldn't remember which was which, until he told a story about how Maggie had eaten a diaper. Then it was clear, Maggie was his dog and Macy was his little princess. As the years passed and Leah, Lauren and Meryl were born, we heard stories of each of them as well. Everyone who knew Brian knew how much he loved his girls. A few months ago, when John and I told Brian that we are expecting our first child, we saw his eyes light up as he congratulated us and told us that there is nothing else like it in the world. Brian absolutely loved being a dad.

Brian's thoughtfulness and kindness was truly genuine. Every now and then, Brian would bring in a huge bowl of his famous venison chili for John. Not only did he bring the chili, he would bring in individually portioned and packaged toppings of cheese and onions to go with it. Just that extra effort he would put in made us feel special. I know many of our coworkers have similar stories of Brian's friendship and we will all miss him greatly.
