Brian Joseph Knez

Brian Joseph Knez, age 32, was born in San Pedro on May 19, 1978. Brian attended Christ Lutheran Elementary School, Miraleste Intermediate School, Bishop Montgomery High School, and Long Beach City College. He was employed as a longshoreman with ILWU Local 13 until his death on August 12, 2010. Brian is survived by his parents, Nora Andreanelli & Vladimir Knez, Jr.; younger sister, Jennifer (Kenneth) Watten; younger brother, Adam Joseph Knez; grandparents, Juan Jose and Carmen Andreanelli and Nera Knez; aunts and uncles, Ana and Anthony Dileva, Srecko Knez, Benny and Frances Caserma, Rosalia Zabalza, and several aunts and uncles in Argentina. Brian is also survived by numerous cousins in California and Argentina. Brian loved soccer and baseball, his guitar, and playing poker. He will be missed deeply but he is at peace in God’s arms. One Day he will greet us again with his huge smile and those beautiful blue eyes. A private rosary will be held this evening at McNerney’s Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be offered to the public on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Church followed by entombment at Green Hills Memorial Park.
