Brian Flanders Kullgren

Temple, NH - Brian Flanders Kullgren, 76, of Temple, N.H., passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Born on March 20, 1949, he was the son of Harold and Myrtie (Flanders) Kullgren. Brian was a proud graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he earned an associate degree. He served honorably as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a conservative republican throughout his life.

A lifelong resident of Temple, Brian was deeply committed to his community. He served on the Planning Board, Budget Committee, and as Deputy Building Inspector. He was also a three-term Selectman, always working to improve the town he loved.

Professionally, Brian was a licensed Master electrician, Master plumber, Septic installer, spending most of his life as a turn-key contractor. He also had a passion for cattle farming and operating heavy equipment. In 1985, he married the love of his life, Joyce (Packard) Kullgren, and together they raised four children.

Brian found great joy in the outdoors. Some of his favorite memories were made at his cabin in Errol, N.H., or on Umbagog Lake, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, horseshoes, and snowmobiling with family and friends. He was an expert skier whether on snow or water.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Joyce; his children Kyle Kullgren, Joe Weston and his wife Kelsi, and Krystle Beckmann and her husband Eric; and his cherished grandchildren Ashlyn and Zeke Beckmann, and Alora and Oliss Weston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Brian is predeceased by his son Zeb Weston, his brother Bruce Kullgren Sr., and Bruce's wife Sheila.

Brian is a man of strength, deep loyalty, and unwavering love for his family and community. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the stories he shared, and the lives he touched. We will miss his laughter, his wisdom, and his steady presence every day. Thank you to all who have supported us with your kind words and memories. We are comforted knowing he lives on in each of us.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00am at the Miller Cemetery in Temple, NH. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the Temple Town Hall.
