Brian Menger Obituary
Brian attended George J Penney High School in East Hartford, CT, before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. From 9/12/1966 through 7/7/1968. As a decorated Vietnam Veteran, he dedicated two years of service, contributing to his nation with honor and courage. Following his military service, Brian established a successful career as a plumber, a vocation he pursued diligently until his retirement.
Known for his humor and gentle demeanor, Brian was a well-liked individual who cherished the simple pleasures in life, such as playing golf and immersing himself in reading action series during his younger years. His presence brought laughter and warmth to those around him.
He leaves behind a loving family: his daughter, Erica Edwards of Asheville, NC; his son, Jason Menger; his older brother, Robert Menger of Newton, NC; and two sisters, Therese Huff of Scarborough, ME, and Dolores McCrea of Catawba, NC. Brian was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Maria Greening, father, Robert Menger, mother, Isabel Menger, his older brother, Gary Menger and daughter, Stacy Menger.
Brian's life was marked by his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and his passion for his trade. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I would like to add to my previous post. I am sorry to all for the devastation the hurricane has caused in your area.
I would like to include the first memory of Brian which made me smile. It was 1957 and we were moving into our home next door. He was in his back yard with (Bobby?) with his dog Nipper and they were swinging Nipper in a blanket.
As I had said we were good friends. As we became teens, during the summer he had a code. If he was walking home by my house he would whistle. This meant he wanted me to come out and talk.
I will always regard Brian as a caring and wonderful fun guy. I am so saddened to see this obituary.
