Brian Mohowitsch
Brian David Mohowitsch, 44 of Midland, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 7, 2025 at University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He was born to Ernestina "Tina" Moreno and the late David Mohowitsch on August 20, 1981 in Pasadena, TX.
Brian had many interests in life. In his early years he enjoyed the great outdoors of northern Michigan camping with family and blasting through the snow on snowmobiles. Brian developed an early love of drumming, first using pencils he took with him everywhere to keep the beat and eventually getting his own drum set. Brian would drum away to his favorite heavy metal music including Rammstein and Metallica. Monster trucks and custom cars caught Brian's eye early on and he truly enjoyed going to fairs and festivals to see them in person. Brian enjoyed going to the movie theater and seeing new releases, especially scary movies. Brian also loved to spend time with his friends and family watching his favorite Michigan sports teams, the Lions, the Tigers and the Wolverines.
Brian is survived by his loving mother, Ernestina "Tina" Moreno, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Mohowitsch; grandparents, Irene and John Moreno, Edward and Gladys Mohowitsch.
A funeral service will take place at 11a.m. on December 17, 2025 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Wallace H. Mayton III officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on December 16, 2025 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of service the next day.
A graveside service at Midland Memorial Gardens will take place immediately following the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Heart Association.
