Brian was not only my brother but my best friend. His total love and devotion for his family and his dedication to his friends made Brian a truly special individual. Today, on the fourth anniversary of his death, it is important to remember how many lives he touched and left better. At his memorial service which was attended by over 1,000 family and friends, it was apparent that Brian had a unique gift for making each person his "best friend." He truly cared about others and their lives and was often the glue that kept groups of friends together creating mini-reunions. Brian's sense of humor and great smile reflected the enormous zest for living he shared with the world. Our family honors his memory daily as we remember the little things that made Brian unique. His daughters, Jessica and Leila, reflect so many of his endearing qualities that it is reassuring tr to know that his enthusiasm and personality live on through them. It is fortunate that Brian shared himself with so many in his short 41 years that we all have special memories to share.

I had a great time with Brian in his single days in ther City and Newport. He was a great guy(good sense of humor and smart) and I know he was a great Dad and husband. I just can't believe it happened. I pray that his wife and kids do alright.

A continent away and 8 years after leaving NYC, Brian is the sole friend I lost in the tradegy. While I grieved with the rest of America during and just after the events of the 11th, it wasn't until I learned that I did indeed know someone who died that the full human toll of the acts became known to me. In a normal effort to bridge a gap, others often ask me (because of my years spent on Wall Street) if I knew anybody killed in the disaser. I respond yes...then proceed to tell how I knew Brian and how much I thought of him during our friendship in the early 90s. To the wife and two girls who survive him, I say that Brian's memory is also kept alive by those whose lives he graced, however briefly, in the past. I am so sorry for your loss.

We are very sorry for your loss of Brian. May his life and love continue living on through his loved ones. Our hearts cry with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Dear Judy,

I worked with Brian a couple of times on his computer (I've worked with you more often). You and your girls have been in my thoughts so often since I heard the news. Just rest assured that there will be better days ahead. These terrible times will pass, and there will be better days for you and your family.
