Brian Allan Nichols

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Allan Nichols, age 54, who entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Newnan, Georgia at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born April 29, 1971 in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and was the son of Carlene Smith Smyly and George Allan Lucas.Brian Allan Nichols met his best friend and soulmate Melissa Ann Rabago Nichols when he was 16 years old in Deming, New Mexico in 1987. Brian and Melissa married on December 7, 1990Brian worked for Bank of America for 30 years in several departments and was appreciated and admired by his supervisors and coworkers.Brian liked to tinker with cars and enjoyed fishing with his best friend adopted brother, Monserrat (Buddy) Nieves.Brian enjoyed spending time with his family. He would always say his 14-year-old granddaughter Brooklynn Skye was his "Heart". He enjoyed taking her own trips, they had a strong bond with each other.Brian was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melissa Ann Rabago Nichols of 30 years who left a lasting impact on his heart. And two bonus dads, Charles T. Nichols and Mongin M. Smyly and nephew Zachary A. Miller.He is survived by two daughters Britanny Nichols and Alyssa Nichols and his granddaughter Brooklynn Skye Nichols; his mother, Carlene Smith Smyly, his father George A. Lucas, his sister, Michelle E. Lucas and bonus sisters, Darlena Nichols Brown and Marci Nichols Merriman. Special mention Donnie (Elizabeth) Linnell, and Jennifer Price.A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 5 PM in the chapel McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St. in Newnan, Georgia.
