Brian K. Oakes, born on October 28, 1963, in Akron, Ohio, passed away on December 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by a deep passion for music, art, and humor. Known for his love of playing the guitar, Brian's musical talents enriched the lives of those around him. His artistic spirit was complemented by a mechanical prowess as he built motorcycles in his spare time, blending creativity with craftsmanship in a way that was uniquely his.
As a mechanic by trade, Brian exemplified dedication and skill in his profession. However, it was his role as a father that he cherished most. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Cindy, Janet, and Lisa. Brian was not just a father; he was a storyteller and an engaging conversationalist.
Brian is survived by his daughters, Cindy and Janet; his brother, Mark, and sister-in-law, Sue; his sister, Kathie, and brother-in-law, John; and his sister, Gerri, along with her brother-in-law, Eric. He was also a proud grandfather to Anthony, David, Vincent, and Brian, who will carry on his memory.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry; mother, Janet; sister, Debbie; and daughter, Lisa. Brian's profound impact on his family and friends will be remembered fondly as they celebrate a life well-lived, characterized by passion, creativity, and love for those closest to him.
