Chester Hines

Chester Hines age 78, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Monday June 30, 2025 while in the care of Carolinas Continued Care of Charlotte, surrounded by those that he loved. Chester was born on Sunday, February 9, 1947 in Fairmont, WV, to Willie Sr and Anna Versie (Gales) Hines. he was married to the former Janet Brown on November 9, 1968 and was retired from the United States Postal Service.
Chester was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Chester was predeceased by his parents and his son, Branden E Hines. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Janet Hines, his son, Corey D Hines, his daughter, Charisse L Parker and her fiancée Kenyatta Shoffner, his sisters, Juanita Arnold and Wilma Reeves, his granddaughters Daisha Hines and Skylar Parker, his grandsons Tyler Welch and Christopher Wade and his sister-in-law Carol M Brown and his brother-in-law Stanley Brown and his wife Carolyn (Hines) Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services for Chester will be private and will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104.
