Brian Puckett Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 11, 2025.
Brian Scott Puckett was born October 24, 1962, and passed away December 10, 2025, at the age of 63.
Brian was a man who loved his family and cherished spending time with them. He loved his wife most of all, and together they opened their home to anyone who needed one. Brian was always cutting up and bringing a laugh to everyone's faces. He could be stern at times, but only when necessary. After 28 years, Brian retired from being tugboat captain for the Kirby Island Marine. He will be missed by his family and those who knew him.
He is survived by his wonderful wife of 38 years, Alyssa Puckett; children, David Corsey Jr. and fiancé Tina, Penni Corsey Smith and husband Terrel, Travis Puckett and fiancé Maria, and Carissa Puckett and partner Patrick Doyle; grandchildren, Myracle, Tayah "Monster" and husband Logan "Roadhouse", Brian "Spider Monkey", Travis "Chunky", Anna-Belle "Boogie" Michael "Mikie", Madelyn ''Maddie", Rylaa "Pumpkin", Payden "Beaux Beaux" and Owen "Tee-Deaux"; mother, Norma Cooley Puckett; and brother, Daniel Puckett; and Wade Fontenot, ex-son in-law who was raised like a son.
He is preceded in death by his father, Teddy Puckett; and brother, James Puckett.
Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2025, at Grace Church, 111 S. Texas Street, DeRidder, Louisiana. Rev. George Lee Glass will be officiating.
