Obituary of Brian J. Robbins
Brian J. Robbins
Rochester-on December 12, 2025 at age 51.
A lifelong Rochesterian, Brian graduated in 1992 from Gananda Central School and earned degrees in studio art and graphic design from Nazareth College in 1996. He was an artist both professionally and to his core, working as a graphic designer and illustrator at Roberts Communications and SUNY Brockport. He'd often make doodles for his friends, and in fact, he met his wife Allison when he drew a caricature of her and gave it to her.
He enthusiastically indulged in his hobbies, including comic books, model building, adding to his toy collection, and watching Doctor Who, Star Trek, and comedies he could quote readily such as The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers. Brian was full of laughter and had an endless supply of jokes, puns, sarcasm, and wit, and he was adored by everyone who knew him.
While Brian wouldn't want us to be sad, our worlds are dimmer upon his passing. We gather to honor his life, talent, and humor.
Predeceased by his father, Stephen Robbins; grandparents, Thelma and Basil Robbins and James and Jean Sprague; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Malone; and father-in-law, Anthony Malone, Jr.; his beloved pets, Homer, Molly and Maddie.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Allison; mother, Sharon Robbins; sister, Tracie Robbins; "brother from another mother", Ray Claxton; step-mother-in-law, Gail Malone; brother-in-law, Anthony (Lisa) Malone, III; sister-in-law, Andrea Robinson; beloved pets, Basil and Maisy; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
