Brian Keith Robinson Sr., 69, passed away the evening of January 12, 2025, in Newark, DE. He was born October 26, 1955, in Bayonne, NJ to Rose (Patrick) Tynes and the late Fletcher James Robinson Jr. He and his sister Diane grew up on 20th street in Bayonne where their grandparents owned Robinson's Confectionery, a candy store where he and his sister shared many childhood memories.
Brian was an avid music lover and DJ. He often visited Wolfson's, a local record shop in town, with all the coins he could muster up to purchase records for his collection. He would listen to these records with his portable player on the porch until the batteries ran out. This ignited his desire to DJ at local events in the community and share his passion for music.
In the mid-1980s, Brian married Crystyne Ladson and had his three sons. Brian went on to work for the Bayonne Board of Education at Vroom and Robinson School. He enjoyed his role as "Mr. Robinson," who knew each child by name. He retired from this role and went on to marry Maureen Harris and move to their home in Delaware. They established a "Cowboys vs Giants" home and shared many memories there. He later met his partner and companion, Jeuel Joseph and moved to Maryland where she supported him through his last days.
Despite these changes, Brian always found his way back to Bayonne to visit family and friends. Anyone that knew Brian knew he was a committed bowler and devout fan of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Knicks. Above all, his greatest joy came from being a grandfather to six beautiful children. Brian is survived by his children: Brian Keith Robinson Jr. and wife Sharon, Marques Allen Robinson and wife Sarah, and Christopher Robinson; his grandchildren: Samira, Cameron, Aiden, Kaizen, Isaiah, and Aleah; his beloved sisters: Diane Smith and Sheila Jones; and his mother: Rose Tynes. In addition to his father: Fletcher Robinson Jr, he is preceded in death by his stepmom: Anna Robinson.
A Memorial Service will be held by the family at Bayonne Memorial Home, 854 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002, on January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting an hour prior at 10:00 a.m.
