Brian Rothoff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery on Jan. 14, 2026.
Brian Scott Rothoff, 56, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer (Ocular Melanoma). Brian grew up in Homewood, AL and later moved to Gadsden, AL.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, David Rothoff. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Julie Rothoff, his mother Lynda Rothoff, sister Tracey Shunnarah (Johnny), brother Chris Rothoff (Stephanie), children Courtney Ware (Brandon) and Roland Cannon, grandson Camden Ware, and nieces Sophie Shunnarah, Rachel Shunnarah, Leah Shunnarah, and Karley Graddy.
Brian was a man whose presence lit up every room. Witty and full of life, he had a quick sense of humor and a kind, selfless spirit. He worked hard without complaint and never passed up the chance to make someone smile. Whether it was with a joke, a helping hand, or a warm hug, Brian made others feel seen and loved.
He will be missed beyond words. Brian's memory will forever live on in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and in the love he gave so freely.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Church of the Highlands Grants Mill Campus on Wednesday July 2, 2025, with visitation with the family from 10:00-11:00 AM.
