Brian Siebrasse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heartland Cremation & Burial Society - Greater Kansas City, Missouri - Rayt on Feb. 9, 2026.
Brian Duane Siebrasse, 64, of Malta, passed away on January 27, 2026, at his home in Stillwell, Kansas.

He was born on December 12, 1961, in Sycamore, Illinois to Patricia (Starr) and Gordon Siebrasse. He married Jodi Heffernan in September of 1995.

Brian graduated from Malta High School in Malta, Illinois, in 1980 where he distinguished himself as an exceptional soccer player. He continued his soccer career when he went on to attend Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. He is still recognized in multiple IHSA boys soccer records and earned All–Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) honors in 1981, 1982, and 1983 during his collegiate career.

Following his graduation, Brian began his law enforcement career with the Bloomingdale Police Department, where he faithfully served the community for more than 30 years. During that time, Brian received the Character Counts Pillar Award and a Police Commendation from the mayor for helping to save a man's life. One colleague described him as "one of the best street cops" he has ever known. Brian also served part-time with the Wayne Police Department in Wayne, Illinois, from 2015 to 2020.

Outside of his professional life, Brian was an avid outdoorsman and skilled marksman. He especially cherished his annual hunting trips to Ohio with close friends. Even on trips he considered unsuccessful, he valued the camaraderie and lasting memories they created together. He also enjoyed participating in shooting competitions and sharing his extensive knowledge of firearms with his fellow members at White Gate Skeet Club.

Brian is survived by his wife, Jodi Siebrasse; his daughter, Ally Siebrasse; and his siblings, David (Dawn) Siebrasse, Steven Siebrasse, and Brenda (Jay) Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and several other beloved family members.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Brian Siebrasse Memorial Fund. Please make checks payable to Brenda Hunt and include "Brian Siebrasse Memorial" in the memo line. These funds will be split between two local charities. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 21 st at Faranda's Banquet and Conference Center at 302 Grove Street in DeKalb, IL. A short service will be held at 1:00pm with fellowship to follow until 4:00pm.
