I grew up with Brian and his brother Roger in the 60´s in Chamberlain Heights.
In April of 1966 several of us boys were playing football on his front lawn, when a meteor illuminated the sky before dusk.
On hot summer days we walked over the hills to swim at Hubbard Park.
We built rafts and floated in the creek behind his house like we were Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.
Always trips to buy candy on Springdale Avenue or Shop-Rite if we could scrape up enough money redeeming soda bottles.
We learned to co-exist in a racially diverse neighborhood-a great life lesson for us.
Brian was unassuming and I recall he always seemed to have a very good sense of right from wrong.
RIP old friend.
