MSG Smith (Ret) was my mentor back in 1999 when I was a recruiter, and I'm grateful for this encounter. His motivation, passion, and positive outlook on life was contagious. He was an amazing mentor, friend, and thoughtful person. Below are some photos of our recruiting team in 2000, him promoting me, and his Expert Badges he gave to me when I got mine. So sad to hear about Smith's passing...such a great guy. He helped put many people in the military and guided several careers, my husband being one of them. Spent good times with he and Kathy. Rembering Vegas, and spending time with cars downstairs and taking the boys to the Derby. He will be greatly missed.
