It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Smith, age 55, on Monday, November 4, 2024. Brian’s spirit, warmth, and unique sense of humor touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Born on May 24, 1969, Brian lived a life true to himself, filled with simple joys and boundless enthusiasm. He had an undeniable love for cars, particularly Dodges, and could often be found planning on restoring them and drag racing them. His passion for automobiles was only rivaled by his love of music, particularly the vibrant sounds of the ‘80s, which always played in the background of his life.

One of Brian’s greatest loves was drumming. His energetic beat was an extension of his personality—playful, spontaneous, and full of life. He was also known for his love of walking, often wandering the streets of his hometown, making connections with strangers, and turning them into friends wherever he went. His ability to make others feel seen and appreciated was a gift that will be deeply missed.

Brian lived a simple life, always walking to the beat of his own drum, never afraid to embrace his quirks and individuality. His humor was infectious—he had a knack for bringing smiles to faces with his jokes and playful banter. One of his favorite sayings, and one that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him, was his signature line: “Talk at you later.” It was a phrase that perfectly captured his easygoing, friendly nature.

Brian is survived by his brother, Thomas Smith III; his sister, Darlene Watson (Jensen) (and her husband, Paul); his brother, Kevin Smith (and his wife, Meghan); his sister, Sarah Weisenburger (and her husband, Jordan); brother, Steven Smith (and his wife, Cassie); well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Smith; mother, Maria Herbert Worrell; aunt, Ann Crawford; and grandparents, Thomas (Leaone) Smith and Adrian (Hilkina) Herbert.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, located at 496 24th St, Ogden, UT, 84401. In honor of his love for cars, friends and family are invited to bring their favorite vehicle to display during the service.

The family requests that those wishing to honor Brian Smith with flowers can be purchased and have them delivered through Aaron’s Mortuary and Crematory, aaronsmortuary.com.

Brian’s infectious laughter, his love for joking around, and his ability to make friends wherever he went will be missed by all who knew him. While he is no longer with us, his memory and the joy he brought to everyone’s life will live on forever.
