I met Brian at Sikorsky O & R in Shelton. I would see him when he came down to the floor where I worked. We would talk shop, though I don't know about what. I found out that our children went to Woodland High School together. His daughter Samantha was on the Dance team, while my daughter Chrissy was on the Cheerleading Squad. My son Nick played on the Varsity Football team. Brian always told me how good my son Nick was. It always made me feel so good. Woodland won the 2004-2005 Championship that year. I would see Brian at some of the Sikorsky Retirement parties where his friend & co-worker Mark Ziemba would bring him. Mark went to be with the Lord before Brian. I'm sorry for your loss. May GOD be with you and your family and may HIS peace be upon you all.
With our deepest sympathy. Bob & Lynne Amaro

My condolences to the Sugrue Family and friends. I was fortunate to be a teammate of Brian's on the VFW Championship teams in the mid 60s. He was one of the older boys on the team that won 3 Little League Championships in a row.
It was a great team and everyone on team enjoyed playing with Brian -- he loved to compete and was a big part of that winning team.
I added a picture of one of those teams - Brian is in the front row next to me -- kneeling in the right hand corner.
I hadn't seen Brian since then but was lucky to run into him about 30 years ago and stopped and introduced myself to him and told him how much fun it was to be on that team with him.
He gave me a big smile -- great memories for both of us.
I'll try to upload another picture if I can find it.
I'm so sorry for your loss.

My first memory of Brian was when I visited his childhood home as I was and am still) a very close friend of his sister Sue. He was so kind and sweet.
