Brian Sullivan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Park Funeral Home - Main Chapel on Feb. 9, 2026.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and father, Brian Sullivan, who passed away peacefully after an extended illness on February 6, 2026, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 62. It still feels impossible to say those words.

Brian was born on April 10, 1963, in Alexandria, Virginia, to George and Kathleen Sullivan. He spent his early years in Maryland and most of his life in Gainesville, Georgia. As a young man, Brian joined the United States Navy and later the Naval Reserves, where he worked on aircraft engines and embraced the many adventures his service allowed him to experience. He concluded his career at Mars Wrigley in Flowery Branch, Georgia, where he valued the meaningful friendships he formed and often spoke fondly of his coworkers.

Brian was known for his infectious laughter, genuine kindness, and remarkable ability to connect with anyone-whether a grocery clerk, a neighbor, or a stranger in a movie line-always making others feel seen, welcome, and at ease.

He enjoyed science fiction films and treasured time spent with family and friends. Brian was an avid collector of Star Trek and Star Wars models and was a devoted member of Harmony Hall Baptist Church, where he loved listening to sermons and singing with the congregation.

Brian is survived by his son, Ethan; his daughter, Sophia; his mother, Kathleen Sullivan; his sisters, Georgette Tritt and Sondra Sullivan; his brother-in-law, Kevin Tritt; and a loving extended family of nephews, cousins, and friends who will dearly miss his playful spirit.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Brian will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
