Bridget Corbin

Bridget Louise Corbin died on June 7, 2025, in Boston Massachusetts at the age of 87. Born on
May 3, 1938, in Georgetown, Guyana, she was the eldest of seven children. She is preceded by
her husband Augustus (Telbert); parents Randolph and Stella Thorne; sister Brenda Bentley;
brother Keith Thorne.
After the death of her mother, Bridget took on the role of mom assisting with the raising of her
siblings at a very young age. Her education began at elementary school in Charlestown,
Guyana, followed by Saint Stephens Primary, Mackenzie Secondary, and Dar Hair Dressing
School.
Upon immigrating to Boston with her family, she worked for a number of years in the
healthcare and retail fields. She was a very quiet, warm, nurturing, and loving mother and
grandmother. She always put God first and made an effort to attend church as often as
possible.
She is survived by her children Simeon (Lloyd), Kenneth, Coretta, Sean, and Michelle;
grandchildren Rebecca, Alonzo, Cierra, Brianna, Arielle, Prince, and Princianna; sons-in-law
Claude and David; daughter-in-law, Patricia; siblings Lynette Payne, Hermia Grimond, Faye
Thorne, and Patrick Thorne; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing hours on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 2:00-
4:00 PM. A viewing from 9:30-10:00 AM will precede a Religious Service from 10 AM – 12 PM
on Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway,
Roslindale, MA 02131. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams Street, Dorchester,
MA. 02124. The Repast will be held at Unity Sports & Cultural Club, 10 Dunbar Avenue.,
Dorchester, Massachusetts.
