Bridget Geraghty

Bridget Geraghty, 85, was a parishioner of St. Gregory The Great Church in Bellerose, NY for over 50 years. She was born in County Clare, Ireland on August 14, 1940, to Thomas and Catherine Mahoney. She passed away on November 21, 2025.

Bridget moved to Manhattan, New York when she was 18 years old. She met her husband Timothy Geraghty at the Irish Dance Hall, the Jaeger House in the Bronx. They married on November 18, 1961 and settled in Bellerose to raise their family.

Bridget was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Timmy; her daughter Patricia, son Seamus and his wife Pam, and her daughter Sheila and husband Peter. Her eldest son Timothy predeceased in 2003 and her son-in-law Mike Smith in 2016. She was blessed with many grandchildren Stephen, Nicky, Michael, Megan, Joseph, Shannon, Kiera, Christian, Timothy, and Peter. She is survived by her sisters Kathleen and Mary.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 24, 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, 125 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, November 25th at 10:45 am at St. Gregory The Great Church in Bellerose, NY 11426.
