We lost our beautiful mother, daughter and sister, Bridgette Megan Chicoine, who passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2025, after a sudden and brief illness. Her cherished daughters, doting father, close knit siblings, and two best friends were constantly with her during those last days; cloaking her with comforting love, compassion and memories of better, happier times. Her life ended way too soon. She had a whole new life ahead of her. Her life was not supposed to end this way: young daughters losing their mother, a parent losing a child, dreams and wishes unfulfilled.
She now rests peacefully off certain shores where she formed lasting memories with her family and friends.
Bridgey was born on March 6, 1975, in
Bellevue, Washington. She came into the world a beautiful baby girl. Her beauty and intelligence blossomed and grew throughout her life. She was one of those people who was determined to succeed at whatever she attempted to achieve, and almost always did.
She excelled at sports and academics. She loved to play the piano and had a lifelong compassion for animals, particularly her adored dogs: Charlie, Atticus, Bear, Moose, Tank and Mabel. She also had a special tenderness for those who needed care and protection. She was especially close to her beloved Italian grandmother Anita "Nene" Best. Because Nene's family immigrated from Italy, Bridgette and her daughters each became Italian citizens.
When just 10 years old, Bridge was accomplished enough to play solo piano at the commencement for her junior high school graduating class. She was later tapped to star in her school's annual Christmas plays, usually singing lead. At Mercer Island High School, Bridge was a consistent straight-A student and 3-year varsity cheerleader. She was beloved by many of her classmates.
Bridge attended the University of Washington School of Business, where she was a top 5% accounting student. She was a lifelong Husky fan and member of the UW Pi Phi sorority. Upon graduation she moved to San Francisco where she was employed by the national wealth management firm, Robertson Stevens, and worked closely with its CEO. She then moved on to pursue a legal career and graduated with high honors from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Upon graduation she practiced law at the major law firm, Dorsey Whitney, specializing in complex securities litigation.
Family was paramount to Bridgette and, although she was on her way professionally, she decided to give up her career and dedicate herself fully to her most meaningful role-being a full-time mother – raising her children in Scottsdale, Arizona. As her girls grew up, competitive sports were a big part of their lives: soccer and volleyball games, competitive tennis matches, and swim meets.
Bridgette is survived by her three precious daughters-Emily, Haley, and Alexa. They were the greatest joy of her life. Bridgette was a devoted and extraordinary mother. Raising her girls was her proudest accomplishment. Her love for them shaped her life and defined who she was.
Bridgette is also survived by her father, Robert Chicoine (Connie); her sisters, Heidi Chicoine, Nicole Chicoine, and Jamie Chicoine Chartier (Craig); and her brother, Christopher Chicoine (Meghan). She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews: Ryan Dorland, Jack Shephard, Tyler and Bryce Mooney, Cash and Dax Chicoine, and Miles, Charlie, and Jack Chartier, all of whom she loved deeply.
Bridgette will be remembered for her love, intelligence, beauty, and the unwavering devotion to her children and dogs. Her legacy lives on most powerfully through her three daughters, who were her world.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Bridgette's memory may consider making a donation to the Humane Society.
