Britt West Obituary
Britt was born on December 22, 1964 in Bainbridge, GA to the late Lucy and Ira West. Britt moved to Sunland at a young age where he quickly became woven into the fibers of the community around him. He enjoyed listening to music, reading the newspapers, feeding horses and above all, Britt loved Florida State Football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy and Ira West and grandparents, Sadie and Abel Strickland.
Britt is survived by his brother, Ira West, Jr. of Crawfordville, FL; sister, Jennifer West of Miami, FL as well as nieces and nephews, Amanda West, Tad West, Kendal Cook, Sadie Cook, and Thomas West.
A memorial service will be 10 A.M., Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Sunland Chapel with Pastor Greg Roberts officiating.
Interment will take place at 2 P.M. CST, Friday, January 30, 2026 at Crawfordville Cemetery, 2998 Crawfordville Hwy, Crawfordville, FL 32327 with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Your absence from class has weighed heavy on my heart. I have missed hearing you say, "Hey, Ma'am" and "may I please have some papers?"
I sure hope you have all the papers, chocolate chip cookies, and Diet Dr. Pepper you want to enjoy--and I hope Waylon Jennings was waiting to greet you. Ride the wind until we meet again on the other side of life, Britt. You were loved by many and will live on forever at Sunland and in our hearts.
