Brittany Leigh Blakely of Lubbock passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 28. She was born May 13, 1996, and from the very first moment, Brittany was always the life of the party and loved to make people laugh and smile. She loved with all of her being and would give the shirt off her back for anyone. To know her was to know happiness and love. Brittany enjoyed dancing and singing even though she wasn’t very good at it! All her grandparents remember her singing “who let the dogs out”.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Misti Medley; sisters, Brandi Mackey and Leesa Barger; daughter, Amberlee Rogers; grandparents, Ronnie and Doretha Mackey; great-grandparents, Ruth Mackey and Jerry and Naomi Eubank; aunt, Leesa Wright; cousins, Justice Carrizales, Milei Wright, and Linley Wright; as well as a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Brittany was preceded in death by one son, Amado “Sammy” Rodriguez.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, March 7, 2025, at Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway. Life is so much better with laughter and Brittany brought so much laughter to every person she met. She will be so missed.
