Britton Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tetrick Funeral Services - Johnson City on Jan. 10, 2026.
Mr. Britton Anthony Davis May 6, 1973 - January 7, 2026
Born May 6th, 1973, Britton entered the world - bringing deep compassion and kindness to everyone who would have the honor of knowing him. He loved deeply and thoughtfully, in big and small ways. He loved in unique ways, and often in ways that were unannounced and kept secret, except from the ones whom he helped. He loved animals as much as he loved those around him. He may even have loved his dog, Chloe, just a little more than he loved most humans. Britton was exceptional at seeing those that others missed and making sure that they felt seen and cared for.
Originally from Camden, SC Britton moved with his family to Elizabethton TN where he was raised. In adulthood, he lived in Atlanta, GA for a number of years and became interested in photography. While in Atlanta, he worked at Wolfe Camera and studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He enjoyed giving photographs which he had taken and framed to friends and family. His eye for photography was natural. Upon returning to the Tri-Cities area, he continued photography and design as a hobby. His workdays were spent serving patrons at Fed-Ex for a decade, and co-workers and customers alike all loved him and spoke very highly of him.
After experiencing unexplained health issues, he passed away on January 7th, 2026. He loved deeply and was preceded in death by his late father Rev. William Harold Davis. He is survived by his mother (Jackie Francis Davis), and his sisters (Kimberly Davis, Tena Davis, and Alicia Davis), along with aunts, uncles, and cousins from both Tennessee and South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his honor to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
A graveside service at Happy Valley Memorial Park will be held for friends and family on Monday, January 12th, 2026, with his uncle, Mr. Jeff Davis officiating. Attendees may arrive at 12:45pm, and the service will begin at 1pm.
