With hearts filled with love and sorrow, we remember Brody Swick, 33, of
Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Brody was a deeply loved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend. His greatest joy in this world was his life with his wife, Tia, and their two children, Brooklyn and Haven, the center of his heart and the reason he smiled his biggest smiles.
Brody graduated from Westside High School. He loved cooking and being outdoors, especially fishing and simply being near the calm of water. He was also known for his quick, witty sarcasm that could fill a room with laughter. And if something broke, whether it was a car, a tool, or a piece of equipment, Brody was the one who could fix it. His hands were rarely clean, his shirts often carried the reminder of grease and oil, and that was exactly how he liked it. His sharp wit and perfectly timed sarcasm brought laughter and ease to everyone around him. Those who knew Brody saw not only his humor but also his depth. As Tia shared, "You could really see his beautiful soul in his incredible deep eyes. Brooklyn has them too." A soulful kindness defined him as much as his laughter did.
Brody is survived by his wife Tia; their children Brooklyn and Haven; his mother Karen and stepfather Rob Roberts; father Dean and stepmother Janine Twitchell; grandmother Linda Davis; brothers Dustin (Lisbeth) Campbell, Josh (Kayla) Campbell, and Will Swick; sister Zoe Swick; stepbrother Corey Haughey; cousins Nicole Swick and Randall Swick; nieces Lillie Campbell and Alexia Krauss; nephews Javier Suarez, Hendrix Campbell, and Evan Campbell; and many extended family members and friends who will forever carry him in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gerald and Lee Ola Tate, and his aunt Debbie Swick.
Brody's life was filled with love, laughter, and moments that will continue to echo in the lives he touched. He will be remembered for the warmth of his smile, the humor in his voice, and the way he showed up for the people he loved.
As one of his favorite stories reminds us:
"The ones that love us never really leave us. You can always find them, in here." -
Sirius Black
Brody's love remains.
His presence remains.
His story continues in all of us.
