Bruce Bamman Obituary

Published by Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care - Zionsville on Oct. 30, 2015.
Bruce Owen Bamman, 83, of Zionsville, died October 30, 2015. Bruce was born May 11, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Fred and Mildred Knuten Bammann. He overcame great obstacles in life, polio, sick children, and the death of two children to become a strong and successful person. He will be remembered as a good provider and a great example of a strong man with a work ethic like no other. Because of his polio, others saw a handicap with his legs, but he only saw it as challenge. He pushed forward where others may have quit. Bruce's greatest strengths were also his greatest weakness. Although as children we wished for more of his time, as adults we all loved and respected what this man overcame to provide for all of us. We knew it was his way of expressing love.Bruce was a highly respected international trouble shooter in the foundry industry most recently with Intermet. He work took him throughout the United States and Europe. His talents also led him to leadership within his field as he was the former president of The American Foundrymens Association. Survivors include his wife, Rosalene Dickens Bammann; his children, Michael Bammann, Debra Kleri, Mark Bammann, Steve Bammann, Eric Bammann, Andrew Takacs; his 12 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.Bruce was a member of Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church (LC-MS), 15605 Ditch Rd, Westfield, IN. His life and faith will be celebrated there at 2 pm, Friday November 6, 2015. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the memorial service. Burial will follow the service at Zionsville Cemetery in Zionsville, IN.Final arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care in Indianapolis.
