Bruce A Banks

Bruce A. Banks was born on November 11, 1968, in Reading, PA. He passed away from a massive stroke on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

He graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1986 and attended Valley Forge Christian College. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Bible in 1990. After graduation, he briefly pastored a church in Renova, PA before becoming an intake counselor at Teen Challenge in Rehresburg, PA.

His most recent employment was at Mission BBQ, where he worked as a line cook for over a decade. He also worked in the deli department at Redner's and the produce department at Giant.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, William Banks of Reading, PA. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Banks, and brothers David (married to Teresa) Banks and Philip (engaged to Carrie Frey) Banks. He was also a loving uncle to Jessica, Zachary, Emma and Abigail.

While his death was unexpected, his family has found comfort in knowing that he will help save many as an organ donor. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on November 11, 2025. There will be a time of visitation from 10-11 am before the funeral ceremony. All services will be held at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Next Gen Center in West Lawn.
