Bruce R. Briggs, 82, of the Quincy Home, Waynesboro, went to be the Lord November 7, 2025, in Chambersburg Hospital. He was a former long-time resident of Dry Run, PA.

He was born October 28, 1943, in St. Thomas, PA, a son of the late Charles Arthur and Helen Frances (Irvin) Briggs. He graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1961 and served in the Army from 1965 through 1967.

His working career was mainly in hospitality. He was first employed in the Dining Hall at Penn State University, State College, until taking employment at a motel in Carlisle, from which he retired.

Bruce was a member of Spring Run Bible Church and enjoyed singing. His family remembers his skills in cooking, baking and canning. Gardening, caring for his flowers and hunting were also activities that brought him much pleasure.

Survivors include his sister, Sandra M. Trutt of Fayetteville and several generations of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur and Glen and a sister, Frances Cavin.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Doylesburg Cemetery, 22245 Main Street, Doylesburg, PA , with Pastor John Semple officiating.

I'm so sorry for your loss with Bruce. I helped take care of him at Quincy. I really enjoyed sitting at talking with him. He was so sweet and a very caring man. I miss him greatly.
