Bruce Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pitman Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Wentzville Chapel on Mar. 16, 2026.
Bruce David Brown, Sr., of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 65.

Bruce was born on November 15, 1960, to Rush V. Brown and Marolyn I. (Mueller) Brown. Throughout his life, Bruce was known as a hardworking man, a devoted provider, and the person everyone called when something needed fixing. A true "Mr. Fix-It," he had the ability to solve almost any problem and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His heart was as big as the world, and he carried a quiet kindness that touched many lives.

In 2002, Bruce met the love of his life, Deb.The two quickly became soulmates and were married on May 24, 2008. Bruce loved his wife deeply and found great joy in spoiling her whenever he could.

Bruce had a wonderful sense of humor and a passion for the simple joys in life. He loved fishing-though he never cared much to eat the fish he caught. He had a special talent in the kitchen and a well-known sweet tooth that stayed with him until his final days. Baking was one of his favorite pastimes, and he especially loved teaching his grandchildren how to bake and spending time with them doing just about anything.

Family meant everything to Bruce. He cherished his children and especially his grandchildren, rarely missing an opportunity to watch their sporting events and celebrate their accomplishments. Though he often said he didn't have many friends, he was loved by many people who appreciated his generosity, humor, and dependable nature.

Bruce also had an incredible sense of direction-so much so that family joked he was a "living GPS." No matter where you were lost, Bruce could always tell you how to get where you needed to go.

In recent years, Bruce had been looking forward to retirement and the chance to travel and spend even more time with his family.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Deb (Husemann) Brown; his four children, Bruce (Stephanie Baker) Brown, Jr., Nicole (Billy) Goodall, Krystle Brown, and Jimmy Rusher; his siblings, Dale (Connie) Brown, Denise (Ed) Collier, Kevin Brown, and Chuck Brown; and his eight beloved grandchildren, Tegan, David, Will, Kinley, Logan, Kessler, Bryce, and Grayson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rush V. Brown and Marolyn I. (Mueller) Brown.

Memorial donations may be made to: BJC Hospice (foundationbarnesjewish.org/Give-Hospice), 670 Mason Ridge Center Drive, Suite 300, St. Louis, Missouri 63141
