Bruce Fowler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crosby & Neal Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Newport on Mar. 3, 2026.
Bruce A. Fowler, 66, of Plymouth passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026.

He was the last born child out of four to Arlene V. (Carter) Fowler, born February 12, 1960.

He graduated from Nokomis Regional High class of 1978. He received his bachelors degree in fine arts from Emerson College in 1982. Bruce had a few jobs in his lifetime ranging from being the general manager of Wesco in Waterville for several years and eventually retiring at Newport Hannaford in 2025.

In his spare time you could find him with some of his good friends; Cub, Silver and Bryan. He also spent his spare time as a devote genealogist and Vice-President of the Hartland Historical Society.

Bruce is survived by his sisters June and husband Maynard Vicnaire of Millinocket, Carolyn Kurcaba of Texas, his son Bryce Fowler and fiancée Kendra Moulton of Corinna, and their nine children; Waylon, Aeva, Silas, Leo, Anneadell, Ripley, Atticus, Watson and Beatrice.

He is predeceased by his mother Arlene V. (Carter) Fowler (90 of Hartland) and his eldest sister Elaine (Fowler) DeBarros.

The family is aware that he was loved and will be missed by many but at this time there will be no services. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of Bruce's memory the family asks that donations be made to the Hartland Historical Society.

Suzie Jane Gowie

Yesterday

Cousin Bruce was more than a cousin, he was my 3rd brother. He is the only one who insisted on calling me by my full nickname, Suzie Jane. He was the gatekeeper for mom when she was walking through her shadow of death. Bruce was my info source for family history. We had many adventures when we came home to Maine on leave, and when he and Auntie visited us in Puerto Rico. He is missed beyond words.
