In memory of
Dan Frosch
January 30, 2024
I remember Bruce from growing up in Sauk Prairie WI., from the days of summer recreation playing baseball. He stood out from the rest of the guys back in that day. He was polite, friendly, eager to help anyone who wanted to improve. He was a leader by nature, a good solid man. He played the position of catcher in those days of summer rec. and thru the years of high school. He was passionate on the field and encouraged others to be the same, for the betterment of the team. He was kind, and never hurtful to others.
Just a word too about the Martin family, when they eventually left the Sauk Prairie area from the attrition of time, Sauk Prairie suffered a great loss.

I coached baseball with Bruce at Staples Motley High. Bruce was my assistant. He was always so positive and worked well with the players. He coached in the summer and was instrumental in the feeder program for the school baseball program. In August of 1991, Bruce and I broadcast an inning of major league baseball when the twins were playing the Athletics through a fantasy baseball broadcast experience. We had a great time doing it and Bruce got to read the famous disclaimer about " no broadcast, reproduction, retransmission or any other account of this broadcast etc..." I still have a copy of that broadcast on tape. I am so saddened to hear of his death. Rest in peace my friend. Pat Held

I knew Bruce from my Winona State University days. Although I have not seen him in over 40 years, I remember him as a kind young man with a good sense of humor. As indicated in the beautifully written obituary, he wore many hats and lived life to the fullest, as it should be lived. It is nice to see how many lives he has touched. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and loved ones.

Extremely saddened and hurting for you all. Prayers for comfort, and glorious remembrance of our Bruce. We all saw a portion, when put in to one picture makes a unique person. Now fulfilling even more of who he really is with Jesus.

To Kathy and the Martin Family: God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I am so very sorry for your loss. Over the years, I am glad I had the pleasure of knowing Bruce. He was a kind man, very generous, and helpful to everyone. Bruce was caring and passionate about people and his community. Bruce loved his family and was always there to lend a hand. I remember Bruce doing the grilling and the clean-up at some of the family parties. When our dad was very sick and weak, Bruce and Kathy drove two hours to come and help him with mowing the grass and yard clean-up. Bruce's legacy will live on through his wonderful family. May you find comfort and peace in your many memories. Sincerely, Susanne Huxsahl

Dear Kathy and the entire Martin Family: In time, I hope you will find comfort with your many fond memories of Bruce. I am very sorry for your loss. I am glad I had the great pleasure to know Bruce. He was funny, charismatic, and always willing to lend a hand to someone. At Mary's parties, he would help with the grilling and the clean-up. He was always there when someone needed help. He didn't ask, he just knew he had to help. When our dad was very sick, Bruce drove two hours to come help with mowing our grass and doing yard work. Bruce was passionate about helping people and his community. Bruce's legacy will live on with his loving family. Bruce touched so many lives for the better. It was an honor to have known Bruce through the years. I send peace and love to all of the Martin Family during this difficult time. Sincerely, Susanne Huxsahl
