Bruce Morrow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Townson-Rose Funeral Home - Murphy on Dec. 23, 2025.
Bruce Larry Morrow, 64, of Murphy, NC, passed away peacefully in his childhood home on December 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 2, 1961, to the late Max Olen Morrow and Margie Beaver Morrow.

Bruce lived a life deeply rooted in the mountains he loved and was of the Baptist faith. A dedicated logger by trade, he embraced the hard work and beauty of the outdoors. An avid hunter, fisherman, and gifted craftsman, Bruce found joy in the woods, and in creating beautiful copper jewelry-pieces he believed helped ease the pain of Rheumatoid Arthritis for himself and others.

Known for his warm heart and steadfast devotion, Bruce was a loving dad, brother, son, and grandfather who placed family and faith above all else. He touched countless lives with his kindness, quiet strength and wisdom.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Allen, Amanda Nehr with her husband, AJ Nehr, and Benjamin Morrow, all of Murphy, NC; his grandchildren, David William McClure, Gabriel McClure, Canyon Morrow, and Chandler Morrow; his siblings; extended family members; and dear friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Grant Morrow; his son, Daniel Bruce Morrow; and his parents, Max Olen Morrow and Margie Beaver Morrow.

Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm, Monday, December 29, 2025 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Jerry Morrow will officiate. Ashley Tanner will provide music. Burial will be in Poindexter Cemetery. Pallbearers are Benjamin Morrow, A.J. Nehr, David William McClure, Calvin Beaver, Dean Morrow, and Clayton Walls. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Morrow, Gabriel McClure, Brandon Hughes and Jack Tanner.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, December 29, 2025 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.

Bruce will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, hard work, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
