Bruce Neale Obituary
BRUCE STEPHEN NEALE, 76, of Titusville, Florida, formerly of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away on November 27, 2025. Born October 20, 1949, he was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Ferguson Neale and Velma Smith Neale. He is survived by his wife, Letha Holbrook Neale; daughter Cara Elizabeth (Chad); son Bruce Ryan (Vanessa); and grandsons Ranger Elijah, Nathan Thomas, and Evan Howard.
A graduate of Marshall University, Bruce was a lifelong supporter of the Thundering Herd and was deeply affected by the 1970 plane crash. He dedicated his career to education, teaching history and social sciences throughout Cabell County and later serving in educational roles at Kennedy Space Center and the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum.
Bruce was a man of faith, a gifted storyteller, and a beloved teacher who touched countless lives.

Bruce was my Social Studies/WV History/Gifted teacher in junior high, and he must've been right out of Marshall. He was always friendly and had a smile, but it was junior high and I detested history! I do recall a story he told about having a Volkswagen that he got a speeding ticket in... he fought the ticket because he said his car would not even go that fast, and he won! He taught us the lesson to fight against things when you know you are right, and I have always remembered and done that! When I reconnected with him later in life on Facebook, he was thrilled I had become a teacher and was very encouraging. He was just that sort of man... kind, patient, generous, and always encouraging! Sending prayers to all of the family.

I am so sorry to read this. Mr. Neale. made history class the best. The most awesome thing was him teaching history thru the song " We didn´t start the fire " by Billy Joel. He was always smiling and had so much patience. Prayers to the family, he will be missed.
