Bruce Olbrich Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 29, 2025.
Bruce Jeffrey Olbrich, 63, of Woodstock, Illinois, passed away on January 27, 2025. Born on February 6, 1961, Jeff lived most of his life in Woodstock, where he made his mark as a man of few words but steady convictions. Known for his directness, Jeff valued honesty and lived life on his own terms. His presence was felt by all who knew him, whether through his work or in his quiet yet reliable way of showing up for those he cared about.

Jeff was an avid guitar player, though he mostly played for himself. He was also deeply fond of working with dogs-whether it was caring for them or simply enjoying their company. His bond with animals reflected his quiet, no-nonsense nature, and he found peace in their companionship.

Though Jeff wasn't one for grand gestures or emotional displays, those close to him understood the depth of his loyalty and the strength of his character. His impact on the lives of those around him is undeniable. He will be missed in ways both big and small.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Kelly (LeBaron) Olbrich and their two children: Kayce and Jacob. Jeff is also survived by his sister Jennifer. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce and mother, Janice.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Free Spirit Siberian Rescue.

Funny - that is the first word that comes to mind when I think of my brother. We had so much fun as kids growing up on the farm. The County Fair every summer, playing golf in the Pork Chop Open, snowmobiling, playing softball (note - never let your brother be your coach). And I know he always enjoyed baling hay for my horses.

He had a love for all animals; we had quite the variety throughout the years.

Family was very important to him. During our father's cancer treatment and subsequent passing, he was my rock.

He had his challenges, but I just hope people will remember all the good years.

These are just some of the memories I will carry with me always...
