Bruce Allen Pettit, age 65, of Brookfield, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his home A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Joyce Place Community Center with Pastor Joe Smith officiating. On-line registry at www.rhodesfh.com Bruce Allen, son of Reginald Eisert Pettit and Herma Louise (Burnett) Pettit, was born November 28, 1952 in Marceline, Missouri. He was raised in the Bucklin area and was a member of the Bucklin United Methodist Church all of his life. Bruce worked at Walsworth Publishing Company as a book binder for 32 years. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football and baseball. His greatest joy was spending time with his girls, Kayla and Jesse and his granddaughter Kilynn. Bruce is survived by his two daughters, Kayla Pettit, Marceline; Jesse Pettit, Brookfield; his granddaughter, Kilynn Pettit; one brother, Gary Pettit and wife Nelda; one sister, Janet Pettit-Parks and her husband Elbert; his ex-wife, Judy Pettit, and her mother, Jean Mahoney Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.
