Bruce Donald Robinson

Bruce Donald Robinson, 82, of Rochester, MN passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 at his home surrounded by family.

Bruce was born December 18, 1943 in Owatonna, MN to Don and Lura (Bragg) Robinson. The family moved to Mapleton, MN when he was two years old, where they remained until 1955, when they moved to Rochester, MN. Bruce graduated from John Marshall High School in 1962. He worked at Robbie Hideaway for his mother. Bruce enlisted in the Army in 1965 and was stationed in Turkey for 2 years from 1965-1967. Upon his return home, Bruce worked as a baker at Erdman's Hillcrest Grocery where he met his wife, Nancy. They were married in 1973. Bruce continued to work as a baker at Michaels for many years, eventually retiring in 2012.

In his free time, Bruce enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Bruce is survived by his wife Nancy, his children; Traci (John) Franke & James (Joy) Robinson, grandchildren; Luke Franke (Kayla Iverson), Amanda Franke, & Erza Robinson, and a sister, Priscilla "Perk" Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Don & Lura and a sister, Hope Healy.

The family would like to express a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice, especially their nurses; Wendy, Nadia, Heather, Breann, Nan, and Chaplin Dan, and caregiver Sherry.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2026 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Thursday, March 12 in the River Park Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
