Beloved Husband of Kathryn Rector for 37 years (he kept his last name), Bruce J. Schramm (age 77) passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, April 2, 2024. Bruce is survived by his wife Kathryn, his daughter Lisa Gannon (Ray), pre-deceased by his daughter Carrie Still (Berry), and survived by step-sons Jonathan Bayat (Yulia) and Benjamin Bayat (Meg Frost), and grandchildren Shawn, Steven, Taylor, Connor, Nadia, Liliana, Jack, and Louisa.
Born and raised in Wintersville, Ohio, Bruce attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Pittsburgh, achieving a bachelor’s degree in materials engineering and a nuclear power certification. Bruce then worked at Bechtel-Bettis for 38 years overseeing the design and maintenance of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 15220, (412-563-2800) on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 4PM.
